More Than Housing โ€”
A Path Forward

The Happy Avenue Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Woodbridge, Virginia. We exist to close the gap between treatment and independence by providing safe, structured, certified recovery housing and the programming that makes recovery sustainable.

Our homes โ€” operating under The Sanctuary name โ€” are alcohol-free, drug-free environments built on peer accountability, mutual support, and a genuine belief that every person in recovery deserves dignity and a real chance at a new life.

We are veteran-founded, community-rooted, and committed to the Northern Virginia region โ€” one of the highest-demand, lowest-supply markets for quality recovery housing in the Commonwealth.

Life Skills & Financial Literacy

Structured workshops covering budgeting, banking, credit rebuilding, employment readiness, and independent living โ€” the practical tools recovery requires but treatment rarely provides.
